Vertical carousel cabinet calculations

Hi fellow engineers,

As part of our "smart factory" policy, our company decided to change all our inventory cabinet to use vertical carousel cabinets, where items would automatically rotate to an opening and operators would easily press a button to get items that they need. My design is very similar with this design http://www.jtechcom.com/samples/vertical.pdf

I am in charge of the design, and being an automation designer, I have found many obstacles in the mechanism of the system. I am wondering if anyone has ever worked on this before. The system consists of an AC motor that turns the drive assembly which then turns the load chains. The load chains are connected to the shelves with scissor arms and a stabilizer arm, much of which images you can see on the link above.

I have drawn most the design on solidworks, but I cant see a place to attach pictures here, is there anywhere I can attach screenshots of my drawings?

Problem statement:
The scissor arm and stabilizer tracks on which the stabilizer arm is moving along its path looks like it needs to be on a precise radius in order to make the shelves turn without tilting or hitting each other. Does anyone know any such calculations or mechanical requirements for this path?

Hi Max and Other Engineers,

I have also assembled a simple vertical carousel as a hobby for personal use and the trays ( each meant to carry only around 20 kgs ) tilt /pivot on the axisformed by pins which bind the trays to the hollow-pin chain when they move in the oval path,specially when they are loaded unevenly.

I know that fitting scissor arms & stabilising arms and guides would avoid tilting of the trays but do not know how to do so or how the stabilisation arms work.

1.) Could you let me know your experience and where I can find some help in
designing them ?

2.) As another option I was also thinking of changing the simple carousel design
( where the two sprockets on top & bottom are aligned with each other ) to one
based on pasternoster principle.This will enable an arrangement where-in two
diagonally opposite corners of each tray will be fixed to the hollow-pin chain rather
than fixing the centre point of each side of the tray to the hollow-pin chain.Will this
principle by itself solve the tray tilting problem or would this arrangement also
additionally require some sort of guides and rollers ?
