How to calculate Force

Hello all, i want to create a small dent of 1.5 mm depth on 2mm thick sheet metal dent dia is 1.5 to 2mm. Punch is used to make dent. how to calculate the force required to perform dent operation.please help to solve this problem.
 
Probably a good place to start is to get the hardness of your sheet, and compare to a standard that is based on an indenter as similar as possible to what you want.

A standard hardness test is basically exactly what you are trying to figure out.
 
To add to my above comment, the Brinell standard uses round indenters, and the Brinell hardness correlates to the load, the depth of the indent and the diameter of the indenter.
Get a Brinell hardness for your sheet, and calculate what your force should be. You'll probably need to do subsequent experiments to dial it in, but that should get you close.
